The Lysaght Institute is one of the most iconic venues in Newport and provides a stunning backdrop for any event.
Lysaght offers a range of 1920s Art Deco style function rooms for hire, with original balconies and beautifully landscaped gardens. Our function rooms are all fitted with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and our ballroom contains a fully stocked bar with a range of specialty spirits.
All our rooms are finished to the highest quality and provide beautiful venues for weddings, private parties, conferences and community events. Our hire packages come complete with the use of our team of in-house event coordinators, who will be on hand to ensure your event meets your every requirement. We also offer a variety of delicious catering packages, including breakfast, hot and cold lunches or pastries and biscuits, please call our friendly team who will be more than happy to talk with you about the various options.
Conveniently located in Newport, only 3.5 miles from J24 'The Coldra' roundabout of the M4 and only 2.1 miles from Newport Central train station, we also provide ample parking facilities for guests who may need to drive.
Myself and Paul would like thank you and all the staff at Lysaght for making our party a memorable night! All the guests said it was a beautiful venue and the night went smoothly with everyone having a lovely time. The buffet was perfect and you catered for all dietary needs. Al's disco was fab! The lady that worked on the night couldn't have been any more helpful, she checked on us all through the night ensuring that everything was going to plan. From looking the venue many, many months ago, to the party ending and everyone going home. We couldn't have asked for anything to have gone better. We will definitely recommend Lysaght to everyone we know as a perfect venue to host a party! Such warm, friendly staff. We cant thank you enough! xx
What an awesome venue for a party! The service at Lysaght was great! The room was decorated with all of the props and decorations that I had provided to Lysaght, in the exact way I hoped it would be. I had the Hog Roast buffet and the quality and quantity of the food was both delicious and plentiful. My sister had prepared a surprise 'Play Your Cards Right' presentation as a birthday tribute and that was aired over a projector onto a wall covering about 24ft! It was such good fun and the whole room got involved! We had a superb band recommended by Lysaght and the whole room were up on their feet dancing the night away! I cannot thank Lysaght enough for making my birthday party one that will never be forgotten!
What a fantastic, customer-focused team led by Bethan! Absolutely superb service from start to finish with real attention to detail. I had the best time. I highly recommend.
